FIRST NORTH TRIPURA DISTRICT LEVEL CONFERENCE-2009

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CONFERENCE AND FOLLOW UP MINUTES  

01.   Enlighting the goldy Lamp, the conference is being inaugurated by the Hon’ble Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly, Mr. Bijoy Roy, followed by good claps from all corner of the House.
02.   Mrs. Smritikana Sen, on behalf of the Tripura Sanskriti Samanway Kendra, Kailashahar Divisional Committee, graced the inaugural moment of the conference with presentation of inaugural song.
03.   Mr. Bishnu Namasudra, the Joint-Convenor of the Preparatory Committee of First District Level Conference at the first stage addressed the House with his welcoming speeches.
04.   Thereafter, Inaugurator and Chief Guest, the Hon’ble MLA Mr. Bijoy Roy, kindly addressed the House briefly about the global phenomenal recession and curtailment of employees. He also conveyed his best satisfaction towards the well achievement of NREGA out-puts in North Tripura District and expressed his co-views to the demands of the NREGA employees, as most reasonable to establish their self position upgraded as well as to settle the requirements of the poor high. He also advised the employees of NREGA to continue their movements democratically and to become ready till their demands not being liquidated.
05.   The distinguished Social Reformer and Hon’ble President of Public Health Standing Committee of Kailashahar Nagar Panchayat, as also being Special Guest, Mr. Kantilal Deb, delivered his valuable speeches to the House. Respected Secretary of the Divisional Democratic NAREE SAMITY of Kailashahar, Miss Mukta Das, also kindly delivered her good speeches, specially emphasizing the efforts being taken by the NREGA employees for welfare of rural women with specific plans. She also encouraged such co-operative assembly of the NREGA employees in well manner.
06.   The attending another eminent Social Reformer of Damcherra and Special Guest Mr. Ajoy Roy, also kindly addressed his delightful speeches to the House. He expressed his views against curtailments of NREGA employees and on necessity, all efforts of movement may be continued in future for regularizing the NREGA employees with suitable recognition and accordance of confirmation of their service by the Govt. He, further informed the NREGA employees not to be mentally disappointed in any manner and ensured his availability as and when required; since the position of North Tripura NREGA implementation has gone to the TOP in Tripura due to their careful labouries works and rendering of their best services.
07.   From the NREGA employees’ globe, the House has been informed with their good speeches to strengthen their proposed movements to the State Level. They also addressed about strengthening their movement status, transportation & communication problems in the rural remotest areas, non-co-operation of Banking Officials, and mental absorbent and dishonouring attitude towards the GRS employees, being raised by the Panchayat Secretaries of the different Blocks. The mentioned entire global information was being brought by the NREGA employees to the House by Mr. Chandan Reang of Kumarghat Block, Mr. Sanjib Bhattacharjee of Kadamtala Block, Mr. Swapan Das of Panisagar Block, Mr. Kankan Bhattacharjee of Dasda Block, Mr. Nanigopal Goswami of Pecharthal Block, Mr. Suman Debbarma of Jampui Hills Block, Mr. Harinarayan Debnath of Gournagar Block and Mr. Kapila Reang of Damcherra Block of North Tripura District. Besides there, Mr. Mridul Sen, Secretary of NREGA Association of South Tripura District and Mr. Nimai Deb, Member, also addressed the House about the same problems of the NREGA employees of the South Tripura District. 
                   In presence of the Hon’ble Guests of the Conference, delegates of 8(eight) Blocks of North Tripura District, delegates of the Salema Block of Dhalai District and delegates of South Tripura District & with their whole hearted opinion, the following 6-point Demands of REGSEANT has been taken up and a North Tripura District Level Committee of REGSEANT has been formed with availability of the following 39 (thirty nine) members. 

6-POINT DEMANDS OF REGSEANT

1)      Service status of NREGA employees be regularized immediately.
2)      Remuneration of the NREGA employees be augmented.
3)      Financial facilities be considered for the over time duties, (beyond office hours).
4)      Existing 8(eight) days CL be increased to 12 (twelve) days as per other Govt. employees.
5)      Consideration of Medical and Earned Leave facility.
6)      Allocation of one Computer-set to NREGA employees for smooth functioning of Panchayat Level Work & Muster Roll entries through Internet and other entrusted jobs.
